Robynn - you gave me courage and showed me I could live my life as defined by my sexual identity and still raise my son to be a strong free spirit. You answered so many questions. You saved my life. I was born a child of God
Designed by him in his own infinite wisdom
My life following the master plan he set forth long ago
When he began to create me.
God knows who I am
He knew what I was and who I would be
He knew the hardships I would face
Yet he created me anyway.
God knows I am gay
That I love who I love
That this isnt a choice or my decision
Yet he created me anyway.
God knows Im not perfect
That I make mistakes
Sometimes learning from them and sometimes not
Yet he created me anyway.
God knows I am not the best parent at times
That decisions I have made will affect my son
That some of them may cause harm
Yet he created me anyway.
God knows that I try to follow his word

If I could relive my life and start over from the beginning
There are so many things I would change
So many things I would do differently

Id cherish my friendships more
Let those that I care about know

Lost...once lost with no sense of direction
Not knowing which way to turn

To a life of nothingness...loneliness.
Then she walked into my life
With an aura around her outshining the sun
A smile that could warm the hardest heart
An inner beauty more beautiful than I'd ever seen before
Open arms showing me true love.
I grasped onto her for dear life

She has the power to destroy me
Like no other has or ever will
Standing in front of me
Holding my heart and soul in her hands
Exposed to the elements of the outside world
To pain, to pleasure, to love, to hate
And I placed them there for her protection
Eagerly, anxiously, hesitantly at first
Yet compelled to completely without restriction
Knowing she will protect them eternally.
I look into my hands
Peering at her heart and soul as well
Placed there with the same urgency as I did mine
Hoping, praying for the miracle that rarely truly exists
Absolute overwhelming passionate love
The stuff fairy tales are written about
The product of an epic romantic movie
One that makes your heart feel warm and skip a beat
And one that will last for a lifetime or longer.
She completes me
The missing part of me that has wandered the earth
Waiting for me to find

Deep within….it exists deep within
Rearing its ugly head when least expected
Causing destruction , havoc, desolation
Effectively killing a part of the soul
Smirking as it sees its victim lying at its feet.
It chooses its attack carefully
Allowing guards to be down
Letting artificial self-confidence appear
Sensing an inner false sense of security
Then and only then does it strike.
No weapon can protect its intended target
No strategy can deter it
No plan is precise enough to sway its path
It has an objective, a goal…it has purpose
And will complete its task.
Assignment complete, it basks in its glory
Relishing in its accomplishment
Feeding off the pain and misery
Looking ahead to the next attack
Plotting its next move.
Subsequently it grows larger
Feeding on its prey, satisfying its hunger
Nourishing itself with its conquest
Yet hunger for the next casualty begins
It charts its next assault.
It waits for you to be vulnerable
It waits for you to make yourself susceptible
It waits for your first move
And readies itself for its ensuing onslaught

Slowly inhaling and exhaling in her repose
Still as the night air that surrounds her
Engulfing her beauty
Encompassing her splendor.
Her eyes retain their impact though in slumber
Peering through the thin layer of lamina that protects them
As if they are a beam to the moon and stars
Filling the atmosphere with a radiant glow
Denoting to the universe that true elegance begins with her.
I lay beside her
Basking in all that is her
Enveloping every breath, every movement of her chest
Rising and falling rhythmically
In syncronization with every beat of my heart.
She is my world though she knows it not
To lose her would be losing every thing that I am
Everything that I want to be, everything that I hope for in life
Yet she lies in her sweet dreamland
Unaware the impact she has upon me.

Harmonious musings emerging from the soul's core
Communicating emotions that demand to be considered
Their form of release ill-fitting of the missive's urgency
Softly subdued, wafting in the wind.
Offering euphony, yet no orchestra is present.
Unseen musicians performing on invisible implements, yet a specific composition is entertained.
Declaring one person's longings, cravings, achings for another.

Glistening bottle filled with golden honey,
slowly upturned, the tenacious liquid moving at a snails pace
towards the outlet to liberation.
Adhering to the tip, stockpiling in volume
waiting for momentum to allow its drop to release.
Letting go, suspended in air for a moment, the drop is ideal.
Spherical excellence in a sweet drop.
Falling to it's destination, almost in slow motion,
landing with a small thickened splash on the skin
Her skin.... her breast...
The drop sits there, stationary
continuing to radiate in the light
beckoning to me, coaxing me
Taste me...relish my tempting droplet
I bend my head slowly towards her
my eyes staring into hers all the while.
Nearing the nectarous drop, slowly my tongue slides between my lips
Reaching for the sugary drop of heaven's manna
The tip of my tongue touches both the honey and her skin
and I feel her tremble at the touch.
Our eyes meet again, and without words expressed,
I know her desire, her wish, her longing.
Unhurriedly once again lowering my head, my lips part
as I cover the droplet with my impassioned mouth,
my tongue triumphing over the once powerful globule,
absorbing it into my body with one stroke.
Leisurely I engulf the surrounding sweetness left in the drops wake,
Unwilling to leave any remainder, any remnant.
With no leavings present, I once again peer into her eyes
Perusing her internal musings, my lips leave the once nectar-laden layer
Bit by bit my head approaches hers, and I allow my lips to confiscate hers,
Savoring her as I did the ambrosiatic glob....
but that is another story.

Leisurely I engulf the surrounding sweetness left in the drops wake,
Unwilling to leave any remainder, any remnant.
With no leavings present, I once again peer into her eyes

Protecting what is sacred
What she holds most dear
Never letting down the walls that have built over time

My Mommy makes me French Toast
She laughs at my silly jokes
She makes sure that I have my favorite snack
And she gives HUGE HUGS.
My Momma takes me to ballgames
She plays catch with me
She is teaching me how to fish
And she loves to watch me learn how to ride my bike.
Mommy likes to bake cookies with me
We decorate them together
Making funny faces on them
And licking the bowl together
Momma loves to eat the cookies
She tells me what a great job we did
And how if she eats one more
Her tummy will explode
Momma likes to paint with me
She shows me how to mix the colors
To make purple, orange and green
And she doesn't care if I get a little paint on me.

But that I'm a messy artist.
Mommy does my homework with me
She makes sure I spell everything right
That my sentences are proper
And that my math problems are correct.

We are seeing if plants react to noise
Each day we talk to the plants together
And we measure how much they grow.
When we are all together

We go to the movies

And looked at the world around me once again
Stronger than I was before
And more able to deal with life.
They had been on so long
That they had grown into my face
I pried with all my might and they pulled off
Leaving a scar in their stead.
The scar is a reminder

With the slamming of a phone

The ring on my finger was placed there by her
On our last day together
Representing her commitment to me

Absorbing it into my body

By saying my corny jokes

She doesnt see what I see,
When I tell her how beautiful she is.
She is blind blind to all she projects,
But I can see everything.
I can see her eyes,
How they sparkle when she smiles.
I can see her soul as I peer into them,
And how she can look into mine.
I can see her lips,
Begging me to kiss them,
Begging mine to brush them,
Calling out to me, inviting my attention.
I can see her smile,
That lights up the room,
That makes even the darkest day brighter,
That makes all the gloom go away.
I can see her neck,
Calling me to caress it with my lips,
Calling me and telling me of its hunger for attention, Telling me do what me with what you will.
I can see her chest,
Rising with each breath,
Sustaining her life,
And mine at the same time.
I can see her heart,
Asking only for me to listen
Asking me to hear what it says
And telling me how to hold its key
I can see her hands,
Begging to be held,
Begging to be kissed,
And wanting to wear my ring.
I can see her feet,
Hesitant to come to me,
Yet wanting my love,
Not knowing which way to go.
I can see her soul
Her beautiful soul
Asking only for love, honesty, and respect,
Asking for its soul mate.
I see her beauty in everything that she is,
Offering the purest love of all
Willingly giving her heart
And everything that makes her special.
My love for her never faltered
Though my actions sometimes did
I will prove I deserve that precious gift she has to offer
Her love the greatest gift of all.
She is more beautiful than a sunset on the ocean
More beautiful than a new born baby
More beautiful than life itself
